The short version

Yaaddi doesn't have accounts, doesn't collect personal data, and doesn't run ads or trackers. Your learning progress, stats, and settings are stored only on your own device.

No account required

Yaaddi does not require you to sign up, log in, or provide any personal information to use the app. There is no account system.

Data stored on your device

Everything Yaaddi needs to function — your course progress, spaced-repetition schedule, stats, streaks, coins, and settings — is stored locally on your device in a private database. This data:

Fetching course content

When you browse or download a course from the Course Library, your device connects directly to GitHub's servers to fetch that course's public content (the same way any web browser would). This means your device's IP address is visible to GitHub during that request, governed by GitHub's own privacy policy — we do not control, store, or have access to this data ourselves.

No ads, no analytics, no tracking

Yaaddi contains no advertising SDKs, no analytics SDKs, and no third-party trackers. We do not know how you use the app beyond what's visible to you in your own local Stats screen.

Children's privacy

Yaaddi is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, regardless of age — consistent with everything above, since the app collects no personal information from any user.

Open-source course content

Course content in Yaaddi's Course Library is community-authored and openly licensed — see this catalog's own GitHub repo for the content itself and its license. This policy covers the Yaaddi app's handling of your data, not the licensing of course content.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page will change accordingly. We recommend checking back periodically.
